Framed Rachel V. Hartley Floral Still Life

Rachel V. Hartley (1884-1955) Born into a family of artists in New York City on January 4, 1884, Rachel Hartley was the daughter of sculptor Jonathon Scott Hartley and Helen Inness Hartley. Her grandfather was George Inness, one of America's greatest 19th century painters. She is well known for her landscapes, botanist painting and portraits.  This oil on canvas floral is an excellent example of her botanist work, featuring purple, pink white and yellow flowers in an amphora style bowl.
